Dec. 17, 2009: Peevey was confirmed by the state Senate (vote: 28-1) for another term as president of the PUC.

March 5, 2002: Peevey was appointed to the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) by Governor Gray Davis.

Prior to joining the Commission, Mr. Peevey was Chief Executive Officer of TruePricing Inc., a technology company focused on assisting companies and government entities to better control their energy costs. He also recently served on the Board of Directors of the Excelergy Corporation, an energy software company, and ElectroRent Corporation.

1995-2000: Peevey was President of NewEnergy Inc., then the nation's largest energy service provider.

1993-1995: Peevey was a Public Affairs Consultant to Winner & Associates, Los Angeles.

Aug. 1990 to March 1993: Peevey was President of Edison International and Southern California Edison Company.

1984: Peevey began as a senior executive at Edison International and Southern California Edison Company.

Mr. Peevey has served on the boards of several corporations and non-profit organizations.

Mr. Peevey holds both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
